Act No. 2003-400 of 30 April 2003 on education assistants creates a new statute to replace both the teacher internship and externship supervisors than classroom assistants, youth jobs of Education that had been designed as a transitional device.
Educational assistants are recruited by schools under public law contracts for a maximum of three years, renewable to a maximum of six years. Educational assistants are intended to serve in schools, colleges and high schools, primarily their assigned tasks of monitoring and supervision of students And they also participate in the effort to improve the reception and integration of disabled children at school, they can be made available to local authorities to participate in further education and the activities organized outside school hours in schools and institutions.
This book gives access to: the law published in the Official Journal "Laws and decrees" of May 2, 2003; the context of adoption of the law, through extracts from the preparatory work of Parliament and passages of notice or public documents relating to the theme of surveillance and mentoring students in the school; to an index that establishes a link between the law published the law in force from its publication and the preparatory work of Parliament.
